The Culprits
I'm a long ago RC flier, now on very restricted toy budget. A friend bought me the blue micro quad at Wal*Mart for 20USD, and it needed the charging connector changed, hence the dual stinger. (I also play with electronics.) I contacted Propel and they replaced it with the red one. Once I changed the connector, the blue one flew very nicely. "Cool! People should buy me broken toys more often."
The blue one USED to fly very nicely, but now wants only to go RIGHT very fast. Used to be able to catch it with the stick, but now run out of throw. A friend suggested changing propellers, and it's a bit better, well, maybe not. Have I worn out this 20 dollar toy? Recalibrating doesn't seem to help.
The red one flies nicely but spits propellers in mid flight.
I had an Estes ProtoX a few years ago, and flew it a lot, but it too started going right right right, like the blue one does now. Got tired of replacing motors and batteries, and motors and batteries.... Didn't fly again till somebody got me the blue one. Was impressed! These are LOTS easier to fly.
