Hello I'm new to quadcopters. I have eachine e520s pro and an ex5. Looking for a charger for my batteries. I don't see any chargers that have the old school cell phone jack. Need advice on a charger that's less than 100.00 us. Thanks for your time.

Hi a 50 or 80 whatt charger should run off a laptop mains you may have to make a lead to match you battery connections like xt60 etc some thing like this

@EDC_FORREST like @holtneil linked above can get "hobby grade charger" for charging lipo batteries for just about any RC thing if you're able to "adapt"/replace the plugs on things yourself. The keys to doing that safely are to make sure things are discharged or in the case of battery leads where you can't necessarily discharge it you only handle/cut one side at a time (if you cut through positive/negative wire at the same time with something with voltage then it will short through your tool, which will at the least damage your tool and likely damage the battery cells from the short circuit... also somewhat frightening and just not a good idea, but have to be mindful working with electronics).

Thing he mentioned there too but not obvious to beginners I think is the hobby grade chargers generally don't take AC power from the wall directly so you need to have some sort of AC->DC transformer that has Wattage that matches or exceeds whatever wattage your charger can go up to in terms of putting juice into the cells.

For the uninitiated a transformer converts AC (power from the wall) to DC (power used to charge or discharge batteries, current goes one way through a DC circuit driven by a battery or DC source, AC it goes back and forth). The Keenstone or whatever "charger" takes DC power in and reduces the power to appropriate voltage for the cells hooked up to slowly drag their voltage up (basically limits the current flow based on user input)... it has more complexity to the charge cycle but in broad terms this is what's happening.

unfortunately with that kind of power supply you end up having to deal with mains wires yourself which isn't awesome but again if very careful and check everything with meters can hook it all up safely (I also picked up a "batt box" from hobby king at some point to charge in, even charging in lipo safe pouches is a better idea than nothing at all though, if cells go up in flames one of the most likely and dangerous times is when they are being charged).

If going to replace the connectors suggest as @holtneil mentioned too using XT-60 or XT-30 as they are pretty standard for all the off the shelf batteries you can buy, if you find ones that are roughly the same capacity and same cell count (voltage) then can generally just swap them out (the C rating on batteries or discharge needs to be high enough for current draw from motors, but anything targetting hobby grade quads should be good enough for this quad, imagine it's slightly under powered compared to what most hobbyists build).

Yup only need as many watts as you'll use for charging but I use this for charging some 5Ah 5S that I chain in series to make 10S for esk8. 5S * 4.2 = 22.5V if charging at say 5A that's 22.5V x 5A = 100W ish so need at least 100W if parallel charging them could go up to 10A and 200W. For starters a regular "wall wart" transformer will work fine just need the voltage and wattage to be enough for the load (charger in this case).
