Hi folks
I'm looking to get a taste of shooting video from a phantom, or similar.
If I like I intend to buy a more customised rig, and to sit the CAA approved training for commercial operation.
One part of me thinks I should just buy the latest ready to fly kit available, that is Hero4, Phantom 2 with latest H3-3D zenumuse etc, but this seems maybe overkill for just getting a taste.
I already have a lightly used Hero2, and some of the best videos I've seen have been shot on a Phantom 1 with gimbal (some zenmuse, some generic)
So...
I'm thinking I could save a few pounds and get a starter ready to fly unit that would work with my existing gopro...
Can I still buy a Phantom 1?
What gimbals will work with both a Phantom 1 and Hero2? Anything half decent that doesn't cost a fortune (I've heard the name Airy banded about?)
Not looking for FPV, just a basic user friendly and moderately low cost rig.
I don't intend to use this beyond the basics of getting used to controlling a quad with gopro.
I would need something with a tilt control for the gimbal as well.
I'm in the UK, and I thank you all for your patience with this newb and look forward to your help.
May I emphasis at this point I'm just dipping my toe and want something as easy to build and operate as is possible with an eye to cost as well.
