betaflight 4.0 on the holybro kopis 2 test flight

Beat flight 4.o scared the crap out of me. Motors were REALLY hot.. I downgraded to 3.5

Maybe needed some filter changes? I ran 6 packs consecutively and they stayed cool as a cucumber, not sure why your got so hot.

Ya it's odd. Never had a issue in all the updates until this one

Hot or smoking motors and fly always upon arming are two issues people are having with 4.0. Frankly I'm sticking with 3.5 and 3.2 for now because if it already flies good why update?

I guess I got lucky, I have it on 3 quads now and haven't had any of those issues. That's totally backwards for me I usually get all the bugs lol

Hmmm. I upgraded a 3" and 5" on the weekend and both at default are smooth with less propwash and motors are cool. Eric, if you're having issues you should go through the 4.0 tuning notes in the GitHub for suggestions

Thank you, yes I just met the owner of that land last week, that place is huge and he said I can come fly there anytime I want, I love it, that was my biggest issue trying to find a spot to fly
