Battery confusion

I have finished building my X525, the final piece was the batteries and charger.

Now my charger didn't come with a mains adapter and so I had to look through my tangled Web of old stock.
I bought 3s 5500mah 35c batteries, I am happy with just plodding around, so the weight is okay.

So I go to charge my batteries and set the charger to 5amps, but it just shuts down and restarts and then I figure outside mains adapter isn't up to it and I can only charge at 3 amps, is this okay?

Today I had the first flight, I'm not sure how long the first battery lasted but the second one lasted just over one minute, yep that's right one minute.
Is this because the quad was drawing more than the battery could handle because the (cheap) battery monitor was still showing 3.8?

That could be the problem, or it could also be caused by too much weight if the motors don't have much torque. Do you have any way to check the battery to see if it is fully charged? (mutitester, test the voltage). Your charger may be set to do either storage charge or for 2C. That is the simplest thing so I'd check that first.

Okay I will check, I was charging in balance mode for 3s

Hi mate if its a 4 button charger check the limits set in the charger it may have cut off at 3000mah or less

I must have messed up somewhere, I put it back on charge and it was good.
Unfortunately I wasn't and I broke another prop, I just pushed my skills too far (which isn't far)

Hi this is all part of the learning curve , you just need to practice practice and more practice , then your brain will correct the quad and you will not have to think about it
