How is it? Im still hoping for better penetration then 5.8ghz. I guess in the USA we can run one channel without a ham license. I bough one from hobby king to try.
Does it have the proper FCC ID sticker on it? If not they have no way of knowing if it meets theI guess in the USA we can run one channel without a ham license. I bough one from hobby king to try.
I don't know if it has a FCC sticker, but I have a document that states:Does it have the proper FCC ID sticker on it? If not they have no way of knowing if it meets the
requirements, hence you need a HAM license.
You're probably fine, most FPV equipment in the US would technically require a HAM license, even the open bands due to consumer modification and repairs of the equipment, and a lack of FCC tags.I don't know if it has a FCC sticker, but I have a document that states:
FCC Rules for Unlicensed Wireless Equipment operating in the ISM bands
The ISM radio bands were originally set aside for electromagnetic radiation produced by industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) equipment. In the early 1990's the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) allowed using three of the ISM bands for unlicensed communication equipment. These three ISM bands are:
- 902 to 928 MHz
- 2.400 to 2.4835 GHz
-5.725 to 5.875 GHz
Then it goes on to rules part 15 rules about max power dBm and dBi . So im pretty sure that I can operate this:

On channel 0 with dip switch 4 on= 910mhz

I have not seen a FCC sticker on any of the 5.8ghz equipment from Banggood, hobbyking or Amazon. I do have an FCC sticker on my Radiolink AT9.
Lower frequencies have better penetration in general, but lower bandwidth so you might lose some overall quality if your transmitting higher quality FPV stream.Im hoping for better tree penetration. I used it once and the reception doenst seem better then 5.8ghz. Looking at low pass inline filters, but i found only one and its like 35 bucks. The other issue is finding and antenna. All i have now is a little v from hobby king and the giant one that comes with the system. This project is on hold for now. Im trying to get a little 220 flying and next is a zmr 250. Will eventually get back to the 900mhz experimenting.
Do you have diversity? If so you might get one higher gain patch anteana to help.
