This story begins with a Eachine EX2H. It has no bells and whistles.
But, it has 2 flight modes...…… Mode 1 is for Acro . Mode 2 is for Aultitude hold.
Naturally I flew in Mode 2, and I love it. so much so that when I had a good deal for a EX2mini, I took it.
The 2 are simply big brother/little brother with the same features and functions, except that the mini is a bit faster.
Here is where my ignorance surfaced. I didn't bother to read the manual carefully, assuming both are the same.
Well, I crashed it so badly that one of the motors had to be replaced. That cost me a few bucks.
While waiting for a replacement motor, I happened to be watching a You-tube video about the mini.
When it came to the controller part, it said Mode 1 is Angle (stability) mode, and Mode 2 is Acro mode.
I froze. I had been using Mode 2 all along. No wonder I almost demolished the drone.
I checked the manual. So it is.
By not paying attention to the manual, I paid for my stupidity.
With a new motor and flying in mode 1, I love every moment of it.
I highly recommend it to all...………. Just remember, you fly in Mode 1.
