A crazy thought from an 81 yrs. old man

I have had a 5 in x 6 in calculator for over 5 years, at least. It is solar powered. No need to plug in for charging. Never out of "juice". Always performs correctly.

Now, why can't we have solar power computer keyboard? That way, we never have to worry about replacing batteries or plugging in to recharge.

Good idea but think it has something to do with the power it would need to send a Bluetooth signal to the pc

Will be the same David it will still have to send a signal , you can already get a Bluetooth keyboard runs off batteries , I don't think they last long so your need a few packs of batteries
