Bought the X8+ last week to get set up for aerial surveying, assembly was really easy and this is a solid machine, a bit bigger than I had thought it would be. Eight motors and props turning made me take a step backward. Should have been RTF out of the box but that was not the case, however, after going through the extensive setup using Mission Planner (2+ hrs), I appreciated learning more about the set up and how the X8+ and Mission Planner are going to work together.
First flight was in my backyard, up down sideways. My yard is small and I was really afraid of breaking props since I did not have extras. Went to park early in the morning for the second flight, worked perfect. Very stable, easy to fly, lots of fun. Ran for a full 20 minutes on a singe 10,000 ma battery although not fast and no payload.
If you need a quad to carry a heavier load than a gimble and gopro I highly recommend the X8+with the software available it has amazing capabilities for any project. Will be flying today and will try to post some video and pictures.
BTW I really expect to be able to do my first aerial survey next weekend, it really seems that easy to get set up.
