3D prints : voronoi animals

Been awhile since I last posted my 3D prints.

Here are my latest. Took me about 3 days. Not all of them came out right at first print. Had a few rejects.
Printer : Creality Ender 3
Slicer : Cura 4.11

Hey! I'm new to the forum & drones in general. I recently bought a Creality Ender 3 from Microcenter for $100 & started to fool around with it, but haven't been able to get any good prints out. I'm using the PLA that came with it. I just don't know the best place to look up the settings etc to get it printing well.

I've watched a bunch of Youtube video's about leveling the bed & adjusting the speed that the PLA is runs through the head. Any suggestions for a beginner? The BEST I've been able to crank out is something like this where the print starts off crappy, but tightens up as it runs the program.

I am not proficient enough to teach others on this subject. I can only offer a few "observations" of my own and links to a few tutorials :
1. Creality never sells its Ender 3 under $200US. Never $100. Did you buy a used one or so-called "refurbished" one?
2. Assembling the printer incorrectly is a major factor of getting poor prints or none at all.
From your screenshot, I would deduce that either the print is NOT sticking to the bed plate or bed level is out of wack.
3. What Slicer do you use for your Ender 3? Did you download any? I would recommend Cura.
4. A few links selected for you. The links I picked are not random. It is of specific reasons for being most informative and easier to understand.

1. Creality never sells its Ender 3 under $200US. Never $100. Did you buy a used one or so-called "refurbished" one? Brand Spankin' new from Microcenter around Christmas for $100 no lie. That was the only reason I got it! I couldn't believe it.
2. Assembling the printer incorrectly is a major factor of getting poor prints or none at all.
From your screenshot, I would deduce that either the print is NOT sticking to the bed plate or bed level is out of wack. It's put together properly, I've made 3 or 4 different things, but they all start off crappy, like the nut I printed above. I even set the bed temp to 90°C thinking that might help & still nothing... maybe I made it too hot?
3. What Slicer do you use for your Ender 3? Did you download any? I would recommend Cura. It came with a TF Card with Creality Slicer 4.8.2 Software on it. I'll check out Cura. Thanks for the help!

You answered all except the topic of bed levelling.
Did you do the bed levelling at all?

Please refer to the link I gave you on Manual Bed Levelling. Oops, yep I did that. I also adjusted the speed that the PLA comes out since it was a little slower than it was supposed to be. If you notice the squigly part was near the heated bed, so maybe the bed was too hot? HAHA, I just don't know with these things!

Don't do that. Stay with the "default" settings until you know what you are doing. No offense intended.

My personal recommendations ( I use Cura 4.11) :
Nozzle temp : 195-200 degree.
Bed temp : 60-65 degree
Print speed : 50 mm/s ( The faster the filament forced out, the more danger the filament does not get enough time to stick to the bed.)

You did not specifically confirm that the first layer was or was not sticking to the bed.
I am assuming that it did NOT stick.
Suggestion: Go buy a roll of green painting tape.
Tape the print bed over the spot the print will be printed on. It should help print sticking onto the bed.

I'm printing & watching what is happening, so that's why I'm doing the specific things I'm doing. The PLA was barely coming out, so I looked @ a video about adjusting the speed & then the PLA started to extrude better. I set out a thicker slower base layer & also had a Brim layer enabled to get the PLA to stick no problem now, but it still comes out like cheese wiz for the 1st few layers before straightening itself out.

Please download the zip-file above > unzip it > save to a sd card. This will contain the following :
Two bed levelling gcodes, M10 gcode and M25 gcode. ( That is for manual bed level. Refer to tutorial below.)
One bed levelling print gcode. ( That is to print the bed levelling result and to see if it is done right. Refer to tutorial below.)

Use the following tutorial to do bed level. Use the M25 gcode. ( You can delete the M10 gcode.)

thats true, maybe u can get better quality and easyer assembly with resin printers.
