3D printer .4mm nozzle question

I have 2 printers...….. Creality Ender 3 and Anycubic Mega-S
I have nozzles that come with each printer.
I have noticed that there is a slight difference in size of the .4mm nozzle between the 2 printers.
Those used in Mega-S have longer thread than those used in Ender 3.

Question : can they be used in BOTH printer, or do I have to have different sets of nozzle for each printer ?

I would only use the correct nozzle. For instance, if you used the longer Anycube nozzle on the Ender 3, you would have to lower your bed by the length of the difference between the 2 nozzles. And if you went the other way, you're going to leave a gap between the top of the nozzle and the throat of the heatsink.

Yes. I overlooked the need to lower/raise the bed scenario. I thought the most I had to do is to re-level the bed.
I think those used in Ender 3 are called MK8, and those used in Anycubic Mega S are called M6.

Just finished replacing the entire extruder hot end in my Ender 3 with a new one from Amazon.ca.

Changing out nozzle does depend on how your zaxis endstop is setup if using a bltouch sensor or inductive sensor for auto bed levelling then that is your Z switch so then changing nozzle is just matter of adjusting the offset value in the firmware for the sensor vs the nozzle position.

Still agree better to stick with the one that goes with your heater block etc. as it came from the factory just to not mess up spacing of PTFE tube going in there and other elements that are meant to stay cold(er). I need to get around to replacing all my old hardware on my printer (going to 24V on my DIY one) maybe this weekend.
