2350 kv motors on 400mm frame?

I want to build a 330mm quad using...

RG 2206-2350 Bullet motors and HQ 5x4.5 bull props.

A little extra room but still small and fast. I'm having trouble finding a 330 frame, so I suppose 400 will do. But if I go to a 400 do I need lower kv motors and larger props?

I think youll be fine with that 400mm setup. 20a escs, 5030 props, 3 or 4s battery. She'll fly like a bird, without all that flapping. However, if youre considering a gimbal/camera, you're new build will struggle. I think you'd be ok with a fpv camera/vtx. B If its just gonna be a "fun" flyer then you should be just fine.

EDIT: just saw your new post. Those motors are wrong for all that added weight. Maybe these:

WOAFLY 2212 920kv Brushless Motor(CW/CCW)-4 Pcs For DJI Phantom F330 F450 F550 X525 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HM8EXJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_yfCZyb23CA1PJ. And Id go with two 3s lipos wired in parallel for more flight time; maybe a couple of 5500mah. Try 10" props

Ok so now my question is why? Will the weight mean the motors draw too many amps and heat up? It seems like lower kv but larger props means it won't be as maneuverable, is that right?

Well with such a load in the motors and smaller props it kist wont have enough life for all the weight your adding. And If it did take off, the load would be too much and yes, added heat and probably an eventual failure. I have a 280 with 2300 kv's and its fast as hell but theres no way ot could handle a gimbal/ camera and its got 5030 props. The thing is, with bigger props you need motors with more torque for more lift which means lower kv motors. My 650 has 390kv motors with 15" props and I can easily support anything I want and with the retractable landing gear its actually quite maneuverable! Very fun to fly.

Also you may wish to consider flight times, the higher KV motors are a lot less efficent, and if overloaded would be lucky to get 3 minutes of flight time from a lighter battery required. A higher KV set that is overloaded won't be near as manuverable as a lower KV setup that is handling it's load with extra power to spare.

Here's a tri, 1400kv and 8045 props and a good pilot.
