actually, the original plastic/whatever material screws holding the standoff's failed when i crashed hard with no frame damage. NOW there are metal screws and metal standoffs on it - maybe then
Thanks for the tip on the frame cracker, I have aluminum standoffs with screws, I will change them out for plastic, that should help prevent damage to the frame in a crash.
Same here the plasic screws have a habit of stripping their threads on crashes. Someone told me not to use conductive screws on carbon frames but other than conductivity issues as long as everything is sealed i cant see a problem.
