1st build (Aerial quadcopter)

Recently I have been interested in multicopters and gathering money for my first quad. Today is the day when I got my paycheck, however I can't decide a few things and have a few stupid questions as well.

First I want to know if this build is even working for aerial filming and what should I change. So I want for HD filming use my Gopro 4 and for FPV another camera (for no latency).

Flight Controller:CC3D
ESC: EMAX 25A
Motors: 28mm (800-1000kv)(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._Brushless_Multirotor_Motor_Built_by_DYS.html)
Props: 12x4.5 inch
Frame:S500 Glass Fiber Quadcopter Frame 480mm (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...opter_Frame_480mm_Integrated_PCB_Version.html)
Battery (for quad): 5200 mAh 3S - 10/20 C (Can't find with more mAh with 3S)
Battery charger: Recommend please. (On hobbyking all have bad reviews)
Gimbal: Tarot T-2D V2
Battery for gimbal and transmitter ~<1400 mAh 3S - 10/20C (Not decided what kind of battery I need for gimbal and transmitter)
Receiver/transmitter+fpskit:(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=21327&aff=247441)

Total weight: ~2,1 kg

So I need thrust more than 4,2 kg from all motor together, but I have been searching/calculating and I can't find any motor (28mm 800-1000 kv) which could get me that amount of thrust and decent hover time.
I believe that I need more Amps for ESC and better battery, but I have no idea how to get the perfect combination of Motor/ESC/battery. What could you guys recommend?



Questions:
1) Do I need 2 separate batteries or I can just use single battery for both - flying and FPV?
2)What is the difference between LiPo and LiHV? LiHV has more volts?
3)Where do you guys buy everything for quadcopters? I can't find decent shop for shipping to EU.
4)What does these numbers mean for motors (for example: 2212 bla bla bla). Isn't the 22 for motor diamater and 12 for height? On the product table the height and diameter is not the same(28 and 14).

I would really appreciate if You guys could help me build my first quadcopter and explain few things what I don't understand.

You can usually use a BEC (battery eliminator circuit), which is basically a step-down, and usually built into ESCs.

LiHV charge to a little bit higher voltage and as such will have a little longer flight time. I usually buy from Ebay, Amazon, or HobbyKing, though I'm in the US.

You are correct in that the the number is the height and width, but of the bell and not the entire motor. So for a 2212 the bell would be the widest part, but there is usually something to make it taller so the actual height is going to be a little more while the width is the same. I've seen manufactures give the size of the stator instead of the bell, but most are going to give th

What can you spend on your motors? Sounds like you might be better to opt for a hex or X8.

For heavier lifting you generally don't want to be pushing your equipment without redundancy if you are carrying anything worth much.

Well...that would be a little over my budget for first drone (have never tried flying). I would preffer quadcopter if it is possible.
Maybe I need 4s battery for more power?

I'd go much lower KV, somewhere around 700 if you can find any within your price range, higher watts is generally better. Make sure to post a link so you don't end up with plane motors hahaha.

I added my calculations. I understood that 3S batteries are too weak, so I need 4S batteries?

I believe that the bolt pattern is going to be different. Those are some nice motors, these are a bit higher wattage and a couple bucks cheaper, but I believe that that your link may be better built, but I believe that the multistar motors will have more power. I don't have too much experience with motors that big, but they seem to have a lot of thrust. Might need to find some prop test, or get a better general idea.

Woow thank You!! You solved my bolt hole problem. The multistar motor what you sent it show that it has max current 45A. Is it a problem if I have 25A or 30A ESC? And I have never seen so long case...will 12x4.5 props even work on this monster?.

12'' would work, but they'd be under propping it, if you had some 3 blade 12'' you could do it, but the noise would be impressively loud and it would be less efficient for a quad. Might be better off to get 8 15$ motors for a little redundancy, but then you'd have to buy some more 20a-30a ESCs.

I already bought quadcopter frame, so I have to get it done with 4 motors . What does it mean under propping it? And what about that max current from Multistars (45A). Do I have to really get 40 A ESC or I can stick with 25A ESC?

Well yeah you are right, but... I wouldn't use 100% of motor power, although i would still get decent amount of thrust and time right?
