syma signal strength bars flashing

Just got a new Syma X8W and the signal strength bars continously flash and do not stay solid, saw a youtube that this may be a problem that could cause loss of control. Any one experiencing this? Making me leary of flying. I have taken it on a couple of short test flights and did a ground range...
