Motors cutting at mid throttle; CC3D beeps (indy 250 plus)

Looks like it was the battery. I tried a different one and all the motors worked normally. Took it out with that battery in it, and it flew. It was behaving a little strangely toward the bottom of the battery, but I'll have to test it out after a recharge. I guess it's time to get some new...

Motors cutting at mid throttle; CC3D beeps (indy 250 plus)

Hello all, I've recently replaced a NE motor to fix a downed quad. After calibrating the drone, I got some weird behavior from two other motors (NW and SW; See the video below). Symptoms: Basically, the motors arm alright (they seem to have some stick at the beginning), but they cut out at...

Motors keep throttling up without user input.

Hello all, I've got a 250 racing quad that's going haywire. It started after I replaced the front frame (I had to de-solder and re-solder the ESCs to get the wires through the frame). When I finished the reassembly, the quad would start increasing power without me telling it to. (See video)...

What does this tiny little switch do? (P or N)

Thanks! Got some good info from Wikipedia (Source; Source2). So is this the selector for what type of broadcast signal I'm sending? Not too familiar with radio transmission. How would changing the switch affect the transmitter? Clearly I should just leave it on "N" and not touch it, but it would...

What does this tiny little switch do? (P or N)

I've just found this tiny, little switch on the back of my cam. It's on the side of the little board, and has two positions; One is labelled 'N' (what it was set to when I got it) and the other is labelled 'P'. Not sure what they do. Any ideas? (PS: Merry Christmas!)

New to forum; new to racing quads

Hi! Thanks for the warm welcomes! Been flying a little bit. Took a while to figure out how to swap the yaw and roll controls to the opposite sticks. Finally got it all sorted. Been mainly practicing hovering indoors (while the weather is poor) and basic maneuvers in the back yard. Will probably...

Broke a piece on A/V Transmitter

Thanks for the tip! Went ahead and covered it with a dab of superglue (I didn't have hot glue). Seemed to work alright. Still transmits fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Broke a piece on A/V Transmitter

Yeah, it seems to work fine. Luckily it's not too expensive of a part, so I can fly it until it fails. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for the reply/

3D Printing Propellers (and Landing Skids)

Hello all, New to the forum. I was wondering what the public opinions were on 3D printing propellers. I'm sure it's been covered before, but I can't seem to find anything. searched google and this site, and no luck. Is it worth 3D printing some props, or is it better to just spend five bucks on...

Broke a piece on A/V Transmitter

Sooooo..... Let's supposed my piece that's supposed to look like this: (source) Now looks like this: I'm thinking that's bad, right? Do I need to order in a new transmitter, or would simply covering the part remedy the issue? Everything seemed to work fine when I came inside. Thanks for...

    Syma X5C-1 mods

Started with an X5SW. Ended up upgrading to better motors, and it made a big difference. Tons of fun to fly around the yard. Great, little drone.

New to forum; new to racing quads

Hello all, Been a while since I've been on a forum, but I just purchased a racer from a shop in Florida. I'm full of questions and eager to learn, so here I am! Basically I started on a Syma X5 about 2 months ago, and I really liked it. Decided I'd like to play with better/legit FPV racers, so...
