Well looky looky. I found one that had burn marks on it while all the others were new and shiny looking. Looks like there was a surface area issue and not all of the connector was touching.

Both crashes occurred towards the end of the flights which would lead me to believe that one of the components was heating up and then failed. Which component, I may never know but I plan on reattaching the couple of wires that came loose and running it weighted down to a table..... or not. May...

I thought it was a motor but after listening to the video I am not sure. It sounded like the power was cutting off. I used the same parts from the last drone that fell from the sky so maybe the same component failed. I will probably never know. If you have any ideas what could have caused it...

Took another hike with the wife. We walked almost 5 miles and rose to about 800 feet of elevation. Near the top I launched the Phantom.

We will see how good it came out after about an hour of flying and after I remove the bracket to inspect it. I did a couple of tests drops with the Gorilla Glue on an old drone and the stuff was just about impossible to remove from the plastic. Probably would have to sand it off. Good stuff.

We will only know if it worked after a couple of hours of flight time.

I just got scolded on another forum for using the word, you know that bad place where evil people go when they die. I simply said," it was windy as...." Fill in the blank.

There's a couple of Murphy Laws in that mishap. What ever can go wrong will..... Things never go as planned..... Can anyone think of any more?

This was shot with a phantom 3 pro in two fifteen minutes flights. I am sure when they built these complexes they had no idea they'd last less than 50 years.
