    Fpv and controler distance

That simply means, the transmitter in your hands can send the signal 100m, but the transmitter on the Drone itself can only transmit the image 40 meters. So in a sense, that is kind of like driving a car on a foggy day so that your braking distance exceeds your visibility.

    Low battery alert

With my Naza system, it will start blinking well before my battery voltage meter is activated. I have flown for over 21 minutes without my voltage meter being activated but the Naza blinks red under acceleration. Come to think of it, could that be why it keeps on dropping out of the sky :-)

Advice wanted on Tarot motors for Ironman frame.

I am going to be building a quadcopter based on the Tarot Iron Man 650 frame with a Pixhawk PX4 flight controller. I am thinking about getting the Motors in the link below. They are Tarot 4114 - 320 KV Motors. The reason I am getting them is because they run on a 6S battery and I have new esc's...

View of car 1 month after guy drives off Devil's Slide. Lucky to be alive.

Surprisingly, there are not that many signs warning people of the danger. Then again, all you have to do is look down and you will know if you screw up your dead. For some reason that specific spot seems to have been the death of the most people. There are four foot walls of dirt and sand...

View of car 1 month after guy drives off Devil's Slide. Lucky to be alive.

I was wondering the same thing. It is possible the doors flew off on impact or were torn in the surf. The car is at a location where it is slammed against the rocks when the tide is right. Not a stunt, just a tourist from Singapore who was unfamiliar with the road.

View of car 1 month after guy drives off Devil's Slide. Lucky to be alive.

Shooting this was scary. I filmed this from about a half a mile away with limited view and some good wind gusts. Judging how far away I was from the rocks was challenging for me even through the screen. A lack of experience on my part flying only FPV.

Phantom 3 stress cracks repair results.

I purposely left the screws loose. I used one of those apps a while back to balance some Motors on one of my hexacopters. Time consuming but one motor was way off. Probably from one of my crashes.

Phantom 3 stress cracks repair results.

I was actually considering that but for some reason there seems to be a little more drag on that motor when spinning it by hand. If I did use some gorilla glue, the expanding kind, or some JB weld, then I may have a harder time getting that motor off if the screws were frozen on. I could...

Phantom 3 stress cracks repair results.

Took the motor mount repair bracket off to see if the glue held the cracks together. Well, it did but new stress cracks developed.

Rebuilt my Tarot Ironman 650. (first test flight video)

I installed a new motor, soldered a new connector, installed new landing gear, tested it by strapping it to a table, and then did a short test flight. So far so good.

Bad motor? Can you identify the problem? (Photo)

Well, I have crashed into a pile of dirt twice :-)

Bad motor? Can you identify the problem? (Photo)

it could be, but if that was from a screw, wouldn't there be some scratches from the friction which I cannot find. Could it have just been sloppy craftsmanship from the factory?

Bad motor? Can you identify the problem? (Photo)

Do not fly without the clip. It will only end in disaster but I'm sure you know that. The only thing holding it in place is the magnetic force.

For Sale:Dji Phantom 4 Quadcopter Drone

My last two Phantoms were refurbs. I have not had any problems with them with the exception of the motor mount cracks but that was a common problem with all the Phantoms.

Bad motor? Can you identify the problem? (Photo)

These are photos of the motor that was failing. When I run it, it tries to rotate but only moves in quarter inch increments for a couple of moments. Can anybody identify the issues from this photo? Looks like some stray windings but they did not appear to be hitting anything. Would they cause a...

I crashed again! This time my Tarot Ironman 650

Sorry for the repost but the video was no good on the last one. Okay, turns out it was a motor like I originally thought. While trying to figure it out I did find the bad connector as well, but during this test the motor quickly failed. Oh well, now it is time to go back to the drawing board and...
