What kind of motor? Flight control board? I had a Chinese clone of an omnibus f4 board start doing this and I thought it was the cheap racer star motors, but then the board started smoking and then it stopped working all together. I replaced the board but kept the motors and the quad still flies...

Some geese in a field didn't mind my quad at all, hummingbirds will buzz along with my tinywhoop, hawks get close but I've yet to have one attack, buzzards seem to come in for a closer look. I think most birds don't mind as long as you don't get too close to their nest.

That's not true at all. The wizard x220 uses the naze F3 board which is compatible with the dX9 spectrum receiver.

I've told at least one person on facebook that the calibration is probably the issue, but it's one of those things you need to figure out how to do it safely. There are you tube videos explaining the calibration process better than I can here lol. Do the "motor tabs" calibration in betaflight.

Usually it is the esc calibration in betaflight that causes this issue, but since the calibration itself presents some danger no one wants to announce the procedure on the internet.

I can give advice on the first question, running a motor that hard will put a strain on the esc that controls it, make sure your using some escs with a much higher amperage than your motors are drawing.
