    Jerky Video Scene Transition

Funny you should mention that. I just happen to have an external hard drive that is hooked up to my computer but I never use it. Think I'll poke around a bit and see if I can start putting stuff on it.

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

I don't know if I'm filming in 4K. How do you tell? I don't know what the card was that I was previously using - it came with the quad. As mentioned, I am getting a 4K micro chip. I guess that means I will be filing in 4K. Is 4K at professional photography level or something? What should I...

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

I'm less concerned with time space and more concerned with hard drive space. I did a (jerky) video that lasted about 10 minutes and the sucker used up around 2.4GB of space on my hard drive. 2.4 GIGS!! WTF!!! At that rate, I won't have much hard drive space left at all when I'm done loading...

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

OK, boys - tomorrow, Amazon sends me one: SanDisk, Extreme PRO, microSDXC memory card, plus SD adapter up to 100 MB/s, Class 10, U3, V30, A1 - 64GB. That good enough for ya, Jackson??? ;)

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

I will have you know, sir, that Quad Pilots are of high, moral character, and would NEVER visit a Web site such as "Pornhub" or whatever you call it. I am shocked, SHOCKED, sir at this revelation and trust that you are just jesting here ....:D

Phantom 4 Home Lock Setup Problem

FYI - today I finally got around to ordering a prop balancer.

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

What do you use this for - decompressing videos?

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

Thank you. I am using the card that came with the Phantom 4 quad. It doesn't look like a quality card - I can't even see a name on it. I will pick up what you recommend for flight this coming weekend. I transferred several videos from the quad card onto my computer's hard disk. Not quite as...

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

I found a YouTube video on this topic. If you really want to do a job, you put the video onto the hard drive of your computer and then you decompress it, using special software designed to do that. It has something to do with changing the codec settings of the video. Pretty high tech stuff...

I love it! So, I guess size does matter?

    City Hall

That's where the quad stays at the same height and circles the object, right? And then flies into an extra-tall pole on the other side of the building that you can't see when you start it into orbit, right?:(

    City Hall

See what I mean (referring to the pic you posted) - I work in the building next door to City Hall and see it every day. I always enjoy just looking at it. I know that a quad flying around a public building is going to bring the cops. They will think I am a terrorist, reconning the building so I...

    City Hall

Yes, you will notice that, in the opening post to this thread, I refer to it as a "quad" a number of times. I have already learned that it is not a drone. It's a quad. But thanks for the thought - I can see where it would be especially important when dealing with a cop.

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

I don't know - it's the little card I pull out of the quad when I want to see what I've done. I think it's 16GB. Do you mean what brand the card is? What difference does that make? It's the card that came with the quad. BTW - what does "SD" stand for?

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

I take the little card out of the quad, put it into a card reader and access it with Windows Explorer. It plays in Windows Media Player. I have a 64 bit computer. When I view the video in this fashion, the scene transition is jerky. I'll try copying the video from the card onto the computer...

    Horizontal Camera View Adjustment

Thanks, boys. Changing gimbal speed to 50 and abandoning any idea of manual, horizontal gimbal movement.

    Horizontal Camera View Adjustment

This is kind of related to my "Jerky Scene Transition" post, but I wanted to post this separately in order to zero in on the issue. I am able to move my camera from a straight-down view to slightly above horizontal by fiddling with the little knob on the left edge of the remote control. That's...

    Jerky Video Scene Transition

So I get my quad up there, hovering in a spot, and slowly rotate it to take a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding terrain. I get the video into my computer to look at it, and the quality of the picture is perfect, but as the view turns, there is no smooth transition. Rather, it will pause...
