    Geprc Rocket upgrades?

Also regarding custom build from scratch vs these upgrades, I understand partially not wanting to dive head long into the deep end but honestly you're going to be doing more work undoing things and trying to get them to fit than you would building something custom you can be proud of ;)

    Geprc Rocket upgrades?

Glad to hear you're enjoying the quad it looks like a fun one for sure. Regarding the plan to upgrade there is a major flaw. Putting more powerful motors means in theory your motors can draw more power at max throttle, that said the battery isn't getting any bigger and so the bucket is still...

    dead motor?

Found the video I was thinking of, again maybe better to find something more size appropriate but what a motor :D

    dead motor?

I suppose it couldn't do any harm and could learn some in the process but can't say I've ever done it myself. There's a few vids on youtube of a guy who designed and 3D printed his own fairly large electric motor but might be helpful as a high level guide (imagine can find some diyers who have...

What ESC and Motors to my project

kv is only telling part of the story really that is the number for the RPM given some voltage if "not loaded" or doesn't have a prop or anything providing resistance. The other value in motors that matters is the dimensions (also winding quality and magnets used and bearings all effect the...

    dead motor?

You can get motor twitches like that if have a shaky connection on one of three of the phase wires. To eliminate chance of it just being esc that is shot can always swap two motors but I would put my bet on motor just needs replacing, luckily only like $10-20 a pop.

    Props, motors CW CCW confusion

Also as badfish mentioned need props to correspond to the motor spinning direction, the props (cw vs ccw) is tilted one way or the other so need right ones on motors spinning in the corresponding direction. To reiterate motors cw/ccw doesn't really matter but props cw vs ccw or usually labelled...

    Props, motors CW CCW confusion

Yah what matters most is motors diagonal to each other on the frame are going same direction and ones that are "neighbors" if doing a ring around the quad should be going opposite direction, betaflight shows the directions each motor should spin on the configuration tab.

    Props, motors CW CCW confusion

The cw vs ccw just has to do with the thread direction for the nuts I would just get all the same and use nyloc nuts then the direction of the thread barely matters just tighten down the nyloc well and won't be able to spin itself loose easily anyway. Idea with thread going different direction...

Finally not cold enough to keep me from going outside

Thanks yah I figured I gotta get out before it all melts, finally got a few above freezing days so had to take advantage :)

Finally not cold enough to keep me from going outside

Haha yah for sure, luckily streets here are pretty slow going so don't need to worry too much about the traffic but I do get way more paranoid anytime I'm out of the field. Can see whenever I'm punching out I'm only at altitude for a moment because usually have to look back to find the field...

Need advise, what goes with Holybro Kakute F4 and DSMX ?

Which project is dead, not following, to me looks like spectrum released receiver and made version of betaflight for it based on BF 4.1, BF incorporated the changes and so the fork is no longer needed and you should see this option as a drop-down in BF 4.2 (pretty sure latest)

    Eachine e58

No idea but would get my hands on a multimeter/voltmeter if I were you and check out the battery, could also be a handful of things (throttle above 0, switch in non-default position, calibration of some sort needed usually GPS/compass with this type of quad).

Need advise, what goes with Holybro Kakute F4 and DSMX ?

I've used a few spektrum receivers but can't say that any of them gave me any sort of telemetry or RSSI (but I did feel they are very good with regard to low latency and fairly solid connection I only once ever lost control signal for more than a moment and it was because there was a hill...

    Banggood refuses warranty!

Yup amazon ships most things from relatively local warehouses so stuff they keep on hand there can be moved quickly but for hobby things where the market is relatively small it's not worth it for them to keep inventory in stock then we're stuck with slow boat from china (usually a month). I...

    Worked then it didn't

Basically the config for the board can tell it what sensors or rather which pins of the mcu should be used as what kind of input or output, the stm32 chip is flexible in that different timers it has running internally and different pins can be tied together and used for either input or output...

    Worked then it didn't

Just FYI too not a thing I think you need as of yet but if you ever do corrupt the usb bootloader stuff on the stm32 chip it is still possible to connect to it and reflash the entire flash memory (bootloader/usb+any firmware on there) but unless the board has a breakout for the "st-link" pins...

    Worked then it didn't

Iflight is kinda weird in that they just dump all the config files and manuals up to a Google drive so have to dig around there some to find your particular board but should have the original BF target and config somewhere there...
