Well you could use a weighted pendulum on the bottom of the quad as a inverted hammer with a long handle. to knock off the ice. That way your props will be no where near the slide.

Depends on where you are. if you are in a FCC permit area then you can operate the remote transmitter in FCC mode that will give you 1000mtrs per the manufacture spec. or of you are in a EU permit area then you will have 300mtr respectively.
