I think that connector should be connected to the PDB somewhere else. If you PDB has a step down to 5v that is. Your ESC should be getting full power from the lipo. The 5v step down would be what you'd use to power the board if your ESC done have a BEC in them. This may all be off point or...

Mine is the older naze, but I got confused with ESC pins to where. You have your battery going to a 5v pad on the PDB?

Right, got it going a bit. Everything calibrated, only issue I have is it only arms in 'arm/acro mode, but won't in either angle or horizon mode, but it shows a red light. It's the mode screen on baseflight shows green when I switch but the board won't spin up. Any ideas?

Welcome. Tell us what your after and we can help better. Racer, quad for filming etc. Have a look around the forum as much as you can, these posts come along a few times a day. You want a frame, flight controller, ESC, motors is a minimum.
