    LED light gauge requirements.

@GJH105775 this is it. also I am going to use this servo splitter lead for my leds. but it has 3 female sockets while the leds only use 2 cables red & black can I just connect the red and black cables using 2 pin jst's or will it cause problems with the existing white wire on the servo lead...

    LED light gauge requirements.

@GJH105775 understood. The bit about the negative =neutral clears so much up. and it all makes sense. now how would I factor in the turnigy receiver switch? im looking up online as well, but if you could clear it up then it would save me time

    LED light gauge requirements.

@GJH105775 this is for the single color although the info provided is useful. how would it work for a single color strip? do things change? also when you say the "white" part do you mean the strip itself, the standoff or the battery? also the grounding, that's whats killing me. I didn't know...

    LED light gauge requirements.

good info! @Jackson ill be getting that one then. I have a all the tools I just need to take an electrics class at some college hah I will be doing that very soon @GJH105775 Ive been reading for days on the electrical stuff of quads, preparing for when I get the rest of the parts, and I am...

    LED light gauge requirements.

@GJH105775 great thanks for that tip, I didn't know it was a piece that changed voltage . I looked at the page, saved it as a tab, will be very usful thanks! one more thing. what do you mean by this "If you have the LED strip just apply 5v to it and see how it does, if not bright enough that...

    LED light gauge requirements.

@holtneil great so I plan on doing the same. by loom you mean putting the wires together and making them all 1 single wire to connect to the jst right? so the jst off the HK PDB does run 12v even if the battery is a 4s, correct me if im wrong. thanks!

    LED light gauge requirements.

@GJH105775 woops thought I replied. was at work and the internet is finicky so it didn't go through. annyways I am using the CRIUS AIO 2.1 also I was looking at the PDB from HK and noticed that it has a 12v aux. will this work as a stepdown? if not then will this be sufficient( I recall you...

Thanks for that, So if i want to run ~20 leds. I conmect them together and tie them to the thing you linked and i connect that to the battery or reciever or pdb?

What would you recommend i use? Do you have a link to the stepdown?

    LED light gauge requirements.

oh ok. I haven't read about stepdowns sadly in all my days of quadcopter learning sessions. but I do have the ubec in hand its a hobbyking 30A ubec

    LED light gauge requirements.

oh and can I get a link to some 24/30 awg wires that would work lol. I keep thinking speaker wires but I cant find any above 16 awg

    LED light gauge requirements.

ah thanks guys! so 24/30 awg speaker wires would satisfy the leds then correct? @holtneil aren't all supposed to be connected tot he PDB? I forgot if they were or did you do a workaround?

First days of quading, What happened.

Wow that sucks! I hope that once i build my quads i will take it slow or risk breaking them :/. Let us know what happens!
