Just received my first quad, syma X1. I have no problem binding the transmitter to the quad however, anytime I crash, (being a newbie it happens alot) I loose the bind. LED goes from solid to a two blink pulse with no response from the transmitter. I need to unplug the battery and re-bind all over again in order to use the quad. Is this normal?
 
No it's not normal. It may be a bad connection internally, or a short. Normally in a crash, a small quad will shut down to protect the motors and props, but yours is going a step further. Have you asked the vendor?
Another option is to find the Flyin' Ryan review of the X1 and post your question there. He's more or less an authority on small RTF quads.
