Wifi Signal Dramatic Loss

So just got my c4008 wifi cam for my MJX X101. Inside the house the reception and video quality is what I expected from this unit. As soon as I walked out side the frame rate dropped to unusable. I walked back inside and as soon as I stepped foot through my door the frame rate jumped back up to great.

Is it because I'm getting interference from more signals when I'm outside? It is pretty cold out, will that have an effect as well? I'm kinda bummed!
 
Fixed it! I made sure that my phone was not actively trying to search for another wifi signal once I connected to the camera and this fixed it. Went out this morning and had two flights. Of course the day my camera is here it is the windiest day of the week! But still had a blast and the little cam did great.
