hi people a little bit about were I am my first quad was a hubsan x4 bought it and was hooked I then got a syma x5c-1 and its errrrm how do I put this .....meh it's slow and boring lol
So I have had a quick read online etc and i want to build my own I like the look of the storm racing drone and my idea was to build the quad without fpv and add it later.

So my options I have seen a few kits online that look like the storm racing drone but what is my best option looking to spend £200ish any help on brands models frames motors etc would be great

Hi mate where in the world are you helps me tell you where to buy from as you used £ are you uk based , 250 racing frames are every where but are not all well made there are a few really good ones the mamba and the MXP230e , people like blackout do some really nice kits but pricey what you need to do is look at frames find some you like the look of and put links on this thread ( I will remove the others for you ) we can then look at the frames and tell you what would be a good buy ( I love hobby king but the 250 racing frames are not good nor are the cheap china clones I will leave you some videos to look at)

Thanks for reply yes am in the uk. Am I right in thinking the main things I need other than connectors spacers etc are
Frame
Battery
Motors
Esc
Main board kk2.0 or the like
And a controller /transmitter

Hi mate if you went for the mini mamba the motors can be tilted to give you faster forward flight ,great when you race , so if you do that your need the nase32 board as this can be told the motors are tilted so it will hover level , clever board that one
The kk 2.1.5 hard case is a good board but will need to be flashed with steveis 1.18s1pro this will make it very stable
I dont used connectors for 2 reasons 1 they have fail on me in flight 2 add weight to the quad ( keep it as light as poss will fly longer then )
As for transmitter and receiver if you go one that does small receivers as mini quads dont have a lot of room and some cheap transmitters have very large receivers
The kit you put a link to is very good the FCB can be hard to set up i think they have there own forum for help , i can help you with most of it i just have not had much to do with this FCB
