Video range

Hello all! I have two drones but my F11 Pro is giving me grief. I can only get 250-275 feet away and the video starts freezing. Assuming a wireless issue. This has happened in multiple areas around the lake. Clear line of sight, no power lines regular or high voltage. Controller is working fine. Phone is a Samsung S10E, Yes, a cheapie. If I bring it closer it will come back in. I have the phone in airplane mode and then turn the wifi on. Ideas?

If the link between the drone and phone is done with wi-fi or bluetooth, you might be able to get a higher gain antenna that connects to the phone. This should increase your range somewhat. Although it is technically achievable, I can`t recommend any of the shelf antennas. (I am more of a tinkerer, like to build all my own stuff.) The biggest problem I found when attaching antennas to phones is finding the right kind of antenna connector to plug into the phone.
