Trying to fix a busted drone

So I purchased a Hubsan H109S X4 about a year ago now, the motherboard was rusted and fried out of the box and I was completely unable to get a refund or return on the drone. I'm now left with this busted drone and an idea, would it be possible for me to cut out the entire motherboard and replace it with a custom built board?
 
Just Google replacement flight control H109S X4. Or you could buy any brushed flight controller like an EVO but you would need at least an fsi6 Tx.
Easiest option & cheapest is a replacement. Looking @ around $60 for Tx & fcb.
