Trouble calibrating SimonK ESC's with HKPilot 2.7

Hi, Im building my own drone from scratch.

Things working so far:
-Power is connected properly as far as I know. The flight controller powers up through the ESC's.
-Reciever is connected to the HKPilot outputs, ESC's are connected to the correct inputs.
-Quadcopter has been calibrated on Flight Planner.

I've watched a few youtube videos on how to calibrate the ESC's. I power up the Flight controller with my turnigy9x in the full throttle position. After a beep I pull the battery out and plug it back in, the flight controller makes a small jingle followed by a beep. I pull the throttle down and sometimes it makes a beep, 1 or 2 motors turn on for a few seconds but then nothing happens.

Ive repeated this over and over and I cant get them working.. Does anyone have any ideas or resources that might help? Thanks in advance

Can you provide a small parts list?

Your supposed to enable throttle pass-through with the throttle down, then put the throttle all the way up.
After you do this power it.

Yep, do you need anything else? The HKPilot is a replica of the APM2.5/7 I think.. Throttle pass-through? Is that something I enable on the turnigy9x? (tx)

Im following instructions to calibrate it but I cant find any info that tells me what the noises the (I think motors or flight controller) are making so im pretty much blind.

Parts:
4 x Sunnysky X2212 980KV Brushless motor
4 x HP SimonK 30A Speed Controller
HKPilot Mega 2.7 Flight Controller

Thanks again,

Aha! Ive managed to do what you said and get them to calibrate one at a time... The only problem is that the calibration works when I plug the esc into CH2 instead of CH3 (what I was told online)... Is this normal?

(Ive managed to get the motors to spin when I turn the throttle up now, all disconnected from the flight controller).

Sounds like you might have a mode 1 transmitter. Can you provide a link to where you bought it?
