Tinyhawk 2 freestyle yaw not working

Hi, eternal newbie here...

Has anyone had an issue of a totally unresponsive yaw on their drone?

Background: I have a tinyhawk 2 freestyle that emax was kind enough to send me a new aio fc for, to fix a power issue. In resoldering the motors, two of motors were reversed, and checking blheli and betaflight I think somehow the internals were turned 90° (so two were reversed). I was able to fix reversed motors in blheli-s, and switched motor cli's in betaflight. Also, per Joshua bardwell, I went ahead and reversed motors to props out. After a few days of fudging around with the apps, got my craft airborn, but realized I don't have any yaw control.

Throttle, pitch and roll work fine, just yaw stopped working (also acro for some reason... can't do flips). Can't turn side to side, even after re-reversing motors and props. Checking a tinyhawk race bound to same tx it flies fine, making me think it's a settings thing, not hardware or software, but I'm still at a loss as to what to do.

Any advice from is most greatly appreciated.

First thing I'd check is receiver tab see if the inputs appear to show up correctly also if your transmitter has some channel monitor view to see what is being sent as far as the tx is concerned can be helpful to check to make sure the yaw is affecting one of those values. Long story short you might need to enable some inputs/mix/output on the transmitter if it isn't showing any value change with yaw. If it changes there but not on receiver tab then need to see if it is just mapped to some other channel or not affecting anything at all. Since you say the quad flies aside from yaw control I assume everything else is configured properly or else it would flip out or not hover at all.

Thanks for your help again Wafflejock! I think I finally figured out what was wrong and was able to get my bird airborne...

I suspect emax mistakenly sent me a tinyhawk 2 race FC instead of a tinyhawk 2 freestyle FC. The two boards are exactly the same, although the tinyhawk freestyle board runs parallel (nose to stern) to the body, while the race sits sideways in the body (perpendicular or sideways). My motors were reading at a 90° angle to the actual configuration.

A quick CLI dump of tinyhawk 2 freestyle and factory reset on betaflight fixed everything. I was even able to set it up props out (to cut down on wet grass on the lens).

Thanks again for the input!

Now just trying to figure out how to bind it to a ldarc tx8 radio from a TBS tiny whoop nano rtf kit, then my life will be complete (don't tell my wife).
