Drone? I don't see any drone ... crap!
.... I bought a complete two piece body shell kit for my WLtoys V686G. It took a week and a half to get here from the next state over, I should have just drove over a picked it up.
Anyway, this was the first time I ever stripped my toy quad all the way down to it's individual parts. I had to go to Harbor Freight and pick up some tiny screwdrivers for the titty bitty little screws that killed the supplied screwdriver. They'll come in handy when I need them later on on a new build of some kind.
I had one leg of the toy quad duc taped on! I didn't know that, I was only using the tape to hold on a piece of plastic that was flapping in the breeze, I had no idea the leg was completely severed! The leg wound had ripped out a plug for the LED lights in that leg too. I got the experience of holding and soldiering that tiny little plug back on, as well as finally seeing and understanding what the circuit board (aka brains) were all about. After all the researching and video watching I had been doing for the bigger quadcopter, I could pick out and know what all the little black squares were for and what they did.
I put new motors in it too while I had it apart. I got the propellers on the right way the first time after downloading that photo that's floating around in this forum somewhere. I'm just so happy I followed everyone's advice of starting with a toy then working my way up to bigger drones!
It flew like it was brand new again! Then my friend showed up with his Mavic Pro and X380 ... well you know what happened after that ...
