I saw this on FB. This looks like it really hurt.
Hex completely demolished while holding a DSLR.

I honestly made an audible "awwww" when I saw that =/.
Wasn't you though? OMFG, ether way, I feel so sorry for you or whoever this happened to. Sucks, but it's part of the game I guess.

It was not me, I think the guy may have been covered by insurance, but I forget. I am guessing around 1,600 in equipment.

1,600 EU or US? I know the camera is around $400. The craft looks like a DJI F550, but I don't think it is. Looks like it might be very similar.

I hope he was covered. If my $150 quad breaks, (If I break it that is) I spend $10-20 on new parts. Just had to order new spur gears. Only need 1, bought 6 :) Only $10.59 on Amazon, couldn't pass it up lol.

$1,600, I have a cheap (relative to hobby grade cameras, one of the few expensive things I have bought :P) entry grade Cannon Rebel; it was between $500-$600 so this was a conservative estimate assuming some parts were salvageable.

It all looks pretty toasted to me, but like I said, I don't know enough to say for sure. $1,600 sounds about right.

Yeah looking at I don't think even the motors are salvageable. Two of them had the wired pull out and I can't tell/find on the rest. This is probably the most destructive crash pic I have seen. Even the LiPo appears to have bent on impact.
