I reviewed a lot of material and got what I think is great advice on this forum. I purchased the:
Hubsan 501s,
The (hopefully) good charger with 2 extra batteries plus another battery for a total of 4
The propeller guard with extra propellers,
The carrying case.

Shipment coming in parts from Amazon starting tomorrow.

I wonder if I need the FPV antenna gain kit?

Nice. After reading your thread and others, I've added one of those to my shopping list. Now I just have to wait for some more funds in the hobby budget.

If Parrot could get the Bebop2 with the controller to a more reasonable price that quad would be an excellent option, too. I saw it under $300 briefly somewhere last year, but it didn't stay there. They keep bundling it with goggles, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I have a Phantom 4, so I need another camera bird like a chapped a**, but I find the idea of having a good, small "throw in the car" GPS/camera quad attractive. I'm hopeless....
