Found this online while trying to find out the range of the symas wireless and someone has upgraded to a wifi antenna

I've seen that one also and wondered about the true compatibility of that antenna.

What I've done to ours is to make sure the stk antenna wire is pointed up " as one was
lying flat against the circuit board " and solder on a 30mm wire to extend the antenna.
This brings the antenna up into the fake hollow antenna tube.

I havn't seen one yet but the -1 version is supposed to have the longer antenna and range
problem fixed.

It also helps to make sure the quads antenna is pointed up as much as possible. Some drill a 1/16" hole in the top cover and the stock length antenna will protrude roughly 1/2".
