Syma X5C-1 will not bind

Hi guys,

Don't know where to turn really. Out of the box syma x5c-1 turn the transmitter in the blue light flashes rapidly then to a slow flash. I place battery into the quad, on a level surface lights on quad flash fast then slower.

Transmitter throttle is down the entire time. Then push up and down to bind both together and quad just carries on flashing slowly.

I have tried turning quad on first then transmitter the interesting thing is when I do it this way, as soon as I turn on the transmitter the quads slow flashing lights go solid when the transmitter light is flashing rapidly but still doesn't bind. It seems like the quad knows the transmitter has been turned on but will not bind.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Turn on transmitter first with throttle stick down then turn quad on. Lights will blink rapidly then slowly. Throttle stick up then back down, and lights on quad will go solid. That's it and sounds like how you're doing it. So if you've confirmed that your batteries are charged, I'd say you got a defective unit and will have to get it exchanged. I know, probably not what you wanted to here.
