Look on the side of the motor usually has two 4 digit numbers for the specs like 2204 and 2300kv, first one is rotor dimensions second is rpm per volt (in example above 22mm diameter 4mm height, and 2300 rpm per volt applied). Any motor with same specs should work, even slightly different motors or props can work since the FC will adjust power output to each based on current error/PID loop so can compensate for variable thrust at a given throttle value.I have a Snaptain A15H quadcopter with a seized motor. Does anyone know if it takes the same motors as the Snaptain S5C, or what motor I can use?
Thanks from a newb,
Tom
Hrm well those are the specs to look for, you can measure the bell diameter and height easily enough but kv is trickier to work out (typically involves driving motor with drill and measuring voltage)Not a single marking on the motor, unfortunately.
