Rekon5 X-XSR and Transmitter issues.

I just received a Rekon FPV Rekon5. I also have the Frisky X-xsr receiver. Receiver shows all three lights. Also transmitter will not read SD card. So can not flash receiver. I'm 10 hours in and no closer to a solution.

Not enough info to help ya out, always include specific hardware you're using ideally links so can make sure we're all talking about the same thing. Here I'm not sure what TX you're using so can't really suggest what to try. Also keep in mind the SD cards shipped with TXes are kind known to be garbage and should be replaced ASAP, you can clone the old SD card or can just get a fresh one and can unzip the default SD card folder structure onto there from OpenTX site (can also grab "OpenTX companion" application to modify the firmware on the TX if needed or to back things up/restore).

Getting the right TX and RX to pair properly is notoriously difficult, people most often get hung up on either getting binding working or getting the receiver configured in betaflight (pick correct port, pick correct protocol, fix any mapping/rxrange issues). Often there are differences in the over the air wireless protocol used too even within a given company, see FrSky ACCESS vs ACCST for example, every company is working to reduce latency and increase range as much as they can so things are always shifting a bit and need to really dig into the OTA protcols used by a given receiver and what a given transmitter supports (ideally have a TX module bay so can swap out the actual radio hardware).

This is what i have been working with.
Its the ACCST model.
I believe I got the QX7 updated but i have tired 3 different SD cards 1 old and 2 band new ones.
the QX7 knows there is a card in but displays nothing.
I have already copied the newest SD card contents from the PC to the Card. Inserted into QX7 and still nothing.
reads on the PC but not on QX7.
Also when I plug QX7 into PC only 1 drive pops up. The second drive says to insert Card....

Another question.
Should I just get a new QX7S with ACCESS? Would that make things easier? Sugestions.....

Yah if have the coin to drop on the new tx it will likely make life easier, that said make sure whatever one you get has a "Jr module bay" aka a swappable TX bay and that way if ever need/want to change your tx protocol can just get a new module that supports it instead of going through the headache/pain of trying to flash it yourself.

Sometimes the actual antenna length (if on a different frequency) or hardware behind it doing the "modulating/demodulation" gets changed.

OK I got the SD Card issue fixed. I needed to format to FAT32. I got the Frsky X-XSR flashed with the newest and still will not bind.
