hi do i need to wire a battery feed in to where it says battery or can it get the power from one of the ecs pack, if from the ecs, do i remove the red from the other 3 ecs pack, or no need?

Hi mate normally the receiver will get power from the FCB If its a kk then motor one will power the board if your not sure tell me what receiver /FCB /ESCs
once we know this i can tell you to remove power leads from other 3 ESCs

DONT go out of range , the failsafe will kick in so the motors will cut out it will drop like a brick , But your loose sight of it before that most full range transmitter will do 1km easy , so your crash long before it cuts out ,unless your going FPV
All good transmitter will have a range test so what you do it turn on the range test which only gives you 1/2 power then walk 90+ paces from the model and see if you can spin motors on lowest throttle they will spin on if they do spin then your good for about 1km
all this depends on terrain

Hi there,

I've just built myself pretty much the same thing as what you have, kk2.1.5, hobby king 6ch transmitter. Each channel of the receiver has 3 pins, 2 of these are 5v 0v, which it will then power itself from the flight controller. The input marked BAT was used to bind the transmitter and receiver.

Was also wondering what this board does when out of range or on low battery. I haven't actually had the chance to fly mine yet, still waiting on the usb cable coming so I can reverse 2 of the channels :/

Hi the Kk2.1.5 has a built in battery alarm just need the pos link from the battery lead this can then be set up to go off as battery gets low
Dont go out of range the FCB failsafe is to shut off power to the motors so will drop like a brick
The KK is powered from the esc on motor 1 this then powers the Receiver , dont try and power it any other way you can fry the FCB
