Hello everyone, I am new here and new to flying pretty much in general. I have Xtreem Quadforce. (X5C) knockoff. I am getting pretty good with it so I am looking to upgrade. I am currently building a QAV250 knockoff for fpv in the future. I have done alot of research about which hardware to use but money is limiting me to the best stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions on which parts are priced well and work well with this quad. Also is it possible to use the remote from my current quad to use on the QAV. It is a 2.4 GhZ but I dont quite understand the frequency part of this.

Thank you in advance.

Hi mate as for transmitter the protocols are not the same , look on e bay for a cheap DX6i as the DX6 is out these will come up cheap or even a DX7s then buy receivers to fit to as many quads as you want , sunnysky motors are good , emax or agm motors do well i use agm 560kv pan motors on a 700 quad and they are nice , for a 250 racing quad you need high kv motor like 2800kv and small props 8x4
I would use single ESCs due to not much room in the frame and you need to keep it balanced so stick the on the arms and use room inside the frame for FCB, camera, receiver ,FPV tx

Thank you for the reply Neil, from what I have read about the 250's most people use 2000-2300 Kv will those 2800's perform better? Also for the esc's I probably will use single esc's but has anyone used the hobbywing skywalker 4in1 esc? I really want to get this one if it is possible to use with this quad. I was afraid you would say that about the remote, I will plan on purchasing one in the near future then. I already have a CC3D controller but have never used it what is your guys' thoughts on this controller?

Thank you again for the reply and I look forward to chatting with you all in the future more.

Hi mate motor was just off my head I would had checked up before I let you buy 2300kv will be good , as for the 4 in 1 some are good Q brain is one but you have to think of room to fit what has to go inside the frame and what can stay out and quad will need to be in balance too or it will fly strange
ITs an open pilot FCB they are ment to be good may take some setting up the best for right out of the box flying is the nase32
