Quadcopter not taking off

Hey guys, just finished building my first quad.
tested all the motors on baseflight, all work
checked the controller channels, all working and in the correct channels
went outside to take it for a test flight:
turned on the transmitter (turnigy i6),
plugged in the battery on the quad,
pushed throttle up. nothing.
pushed it a bit more up. still nothing.
pushed it all the way up. okay motors aren't spinning.
need some help guys

Arm the motors.

Try one of these.

does your quadcopter have an arming button on it ? needs to be pressed before arming the motors from transmitter.....

do you know what flight controller it is ?

its a naze 32 acro, had hobbyking blue 20A escs but i accidentally plugged the battery in backwards so fried them along with the pdb, i'll give the arming a shot when i get the parts back. any suggestions for relatively cheap that are easy to set throttle end points on?
