Quad won't take off

Hi guys, I'm new to the world of overall RC and quadcopter. I'm currently building my first quadcopter, but somehow it won't take off. If I push the throttle high enough, more than half of the full throttle, then it will start tilting to the front, but still not take off.
I'm wondering if this is because the overall build is too heavy, or if there is any other reason.

Here's some detail about my build:

  • Overall weight is 605gr (battery is 180gr, rest of the build 425gr)
  • Cheap fpv frame kit similar to this
  • DJI Naza m-lite flight controller (without GPS)
  • Cheap 12A simonk ESC
  • 2204 2300kv brushless motor
  • 5030 propeller
  • FS-iA10B receiver
  • Flysky FS-i6x remote control
  • Gaoneng 11.1V 2200mAh 3S 40C/80C Lipo Battery

Since I never have a "hobby drone", I have refrained myself from answering issues pertaining to hobby drones.
However, your statement quoted above prompted me to make a suggestion .........
I suspect you have incorrect placement of the propellers.
Meaning : wrong propellers inserted in wrong arms.
Your 4 propellers are divided into 2 sets of 2. One set should be marked A and the other set marked B. They must be inserted into the arms in a specific order. Drone will not take off if the propellers are inserted into wrong arms.
That is the only idea I have to offer.

@davidhk129 thank you for your advice. Actually I never really check both the motor and propeller placement, so will check that and share the result here. Just to make sure, the propeller marked with R (e.g 5030R) should be on the CW motor, right?

I am not sure what "R" represents.
I am assuming it means "right", as in right turning. Therefore, clockwise.

Is the other set marked "L", as in "left" ?


Here is a screenshot example of propellers placement.......

Clockwise props go to Arm 1 and 3
Counter-clockwise props go to Arm 2 and 4
