hello I'm going in a new direction now working with a qav 500 with 540 mm alum arms, hopefully someone can help me out here the kit comes with a circuit board or board used but I am using a naza v2 setup with dragon link uhf system do I need to use the board or can I just directly hook everything up to my naza thanks ????????
 
Hi my friend if we are talking flight control board , then just hook up everything to the naza ,if it power board then you can still can still use it to power up everything lots of multi-rotors have them saves having loads of wire makes them a bit lighter . hope this help neil
 
Yeah it's a power board that the esc,s and things can solder too but I would rather keep it clean and just hook it all up to the naza directly if that's possible maybe I should look into it more but from what I have seen people are using the board so I think I may be confusing myself
 
Hi Shawn , the power board will still be ok to use, the naza will get power from one of the escs or you can run a bec off the battery just to power the naza and fpv, i have used the built in power boards on many quads never had a problem with them and this is a high end quad frame so should be very good it will keep weight down on the quad if you can use it , a good quad needs to be as light as poss and you are going to be having fpv added so watch the weight , go to rc model reviews and watch his fpv set ups has a great deal of info on stopping image problems due to power ,vibrations, signal loss, he also will show you how to make your own antenna etc

Hi mate quick whats what , BEC Battery eliminator circuit, ESC electronic speed controller, FCB flight control board
an ESC converts DC 2 phase(battery) to 3 phase AC (what the brushless motor needs) plus a power out for FCB or receiver
a BEC will give you a high amp out put for FCB or gyros ,GPS ,servos etc always go for a switching bec not linear you can run one battery for motors and using a bec run a second for flight system
OSD on screen display this unit plugs between camera and transmitter and will give you head up display on your goggles or monitor
talking about ESC simonk flashed are better code than just a normal one watch this demo
