QAV 250. Ok for a first build?

Debating on wheather to purchase a QAV 250 for a first build. I like the look of these and was just wondering any ones thoughts as to this being a good idea? Or any other suggestions on a decent 250 frame for 1st build. I like the pdb on these frames and have also seen somd nice 3d printed parts to tidy build up. New to the forum and this is my 1st post so any help and pointers much appreciated.

What are your goals and what is your budget?
 
Well parts are readily available for a 250 and it is hard enough to fit everything to start with. You might learn on your 250 and if you get more into builds move to a 180.


No need to reinvent the wheel, so here is a build that Jonathon Davis uses, and he does some pretty impressive flying hahaha

Here is the video of him using it, and this is the build that I pulled from the description. This would allow you to get it together and use his tuning to keep from having the long learning curve that comes with tuning.

Hahaha, check out his facebook. He post videos a couple times a week. If you order these parts we'll be here to help you get it all together hahaha. Great transmitter, is this your first venture into RC?
 
Yes its my first venture. I have been playing around with mini quads for a while, just to get used to flying. Im ready for the jump mate ha haaaa.

I will certainly let you know how im getting along with build and if i need any help i will let ya know. Looking forward to it. Pics of progress to follow.
