Problem with PPM mode - RX keeps trying to bind on power on.

Hi all,

Complete quad newbie here, trying to build my first little fella.

Kit (from Hobby King, sorry I can't provide link as this is my first post):
-Multistar Razor 40A Tower F4 BLHeli_S
-Orange R610v2 Receiver

I believe I have connected these up correctly. The 'manual' for the Flight controller says:
"PPM receiver does not need to set the port." which I take as meaning I don't need to set any other hardware settings to use PPM mode (where as for example it says "SBUS receiver needs to turn on the “Serial RX” of UART1 port."

The RX says "In normal operation it is a 6channel cPPM output" for the BATT/BIND connector.

According to the diagrams I have ground, Vcc and signal correctly wired from the FC to the RX.

I have updated the FC to the latest firmware and have set in BetaFlight/Configuration/Receiver : "PPM RX input" option (yes, Saved and rebooted).

The problem is that the RX always goes into Bind mode on powering up the FC.
I have successfully bound the RX, but then on next boot, its right back into Bind mode again.

I am hoping there is something more in BetaFlight I need to set, or a command I need to issue to stop this happening, but as I said at the start, I am new to all of this. I'm not finding anything in Google, at least so far...

Go into the CLI and make sure the bind autoreset is set to OFF.

The only variable I could find that related to a bind autoreset was spektrum_sat_bind_autoreset, which was set to ON, so I set it to OFF, however that made no difference, the issue remains unchanged. Given this is a PPM connection not Spektrum, I wouldn't have thought that that setting would have affected it but it was worth a shot. Thanks anyway
