Port/UART/Tranamitter issue

So, I picked up a 2nd hand rig from a guy and it runs great but I was changing some things and SOMEHOW unmapped the Arm key from Switch A on the TGY I6s transmitter... a couple of other things also made me want to just factory reset.

So I did. Bound fine, set up the rxrange in the CLI of betaflight, had to alter the subtrims alittle to get the cetrepoints back to 1500.

All good.

And then I was mapping the switches back to the channels the where on REMAPPING switch A, to channel 9, from its dedicated channel 5 (which changed its aux in betalfight) and this was all fine, and then I was trying to get the RSSI channel to work or transmit, and now the transmitter is not on any UART? Nor is the Tramp access to VTX settings I set up (on UART 3 from memory)

Now the transmitter is showing the drones battery voltage even, on its LCD display, but it won't arm, and can't control it, because as stated it's nit connected through any UART... and it won't work? I think I've tried all 5 combinations and I can't figure out why it won't connect :O

I've upgraded and fixed so much with it already but this computer stuff confuses me so much... I thought I knew what I was doing and it certainly wasn't anything j thought would lead to this!!!!!! but it's like it's connected and not connected? I'm lost!!

My guess is that you are trying to use more than 6 channels. Your i6 is only 6 channels unless you did the 10 channel mod?

6 channels with 4 being the AERT Info?
Then he defs did the 10 channel mod, coz I have all 4 top switched mapped: arm switch , angle/nul/horizon, airtrainer/nul/turtle, and beeper on/off....
It might only be 6 if it's NOT including AERT though, because only aux 6, 7, 8, 9 and 110 are available with 5 being the dedicated "fly channel" for arming.

I got it working.

It was as simple as, in the ports page of betaflight, NOT putting the telemetry output in the next row available haha. It's S-BUS.

Which I double checked in the NEXT page where yo configure the transmitter protocol.

Definitely do don't try say UART 2 is tryna communicate it's telemetry via iBUS when it's not..........

Moral of the story: sleep on it.
Other moral of the story: sometimes when you try every combination in panic, it's the one option you apparently didn't try.

I do, however, have the original issue, of channel 5, Aux 1 in betaflight, not being recognised as a switch... its not editable in the controller screen and I'm pretty sure it's when I was trying to internally map the other switches when they hadn't been set up yet...... arm was temporarily on ANOTHER SWITCH and I finally got it off but could never get it back on channel 5.

Swt 1 is still mapable: it's on channel 9: aux 6 in betaflight.... but I'd like it back on its own channel and have one of the buttons AND variable knobs accessible... currently I only have one.

Channel 9 and 10 are meant to be for the buttons or the knobs, but.... can't be.... and idk how to get arm bsck to channel 5, aux 1 :O
