Please, I could use some advise regarding my falcon 250 pro

To the point, I followed some of the post replies and found this site to be very knowledgeable, and would appreciate any assistance in learning more about my falcon 250 pro.
My unit fails to operate having possibly occurred a short in the power supply. On its maiden voyage the battery failed to remain secure. This resulted in the recharging terminal being chopped, and may have short circuited against the carbon fiber frame.
The CC3D boards flashes a rapid green light, the status light on the motherboard flashes a steady blue, please advise regarding the significance and list of parts that will be required, aftermarket mods preferred. Is there a reset button onboard?
I liked the suggestions made by gyro doc to improve performance. Has anybody tried them?

All this could have been prevented by placing a piece of sticky Velcro between the battery and frame, thus securing it, in addiction to the the stock Velcro strap. $ 2.00 apx. length 1.5"

Try calibrating the motors as normal.
It's just a process of elimination.
If you can open the fcb then it probably OK. & it might just be the esc's. The same happened to me. The board lights up but can't access it. My esc's were shot aswell There is a board reset it on the configuration tab in cleanflight or betaflight. Next to the gyro reset.
Reset em all.

Maybe it's a good thing your burning props. At least your learning, and as I suspect getting better. The learning curve in this area involves some risk. Consider yourself lucky it's only props. When I do R/C pattern ships the prop is usually the last of my concerns.
Thanks for your suggestion. Now do I go with cleanflight or librepilot?
I agree the fun never stops. In fact, I think it gets better and better, as long as I work hard.

cc3d and eachine = openpilot.

If it is, replace it with a naze controller. I had a eachine racer with the cc3d. The flight controller failed. Replaced it with a naze controller. Best thing that ever happened to that quad. That said, the falcon is a good frame. The only thing i do not like about it is the integrated power distribution board.

I seriously doubt you fried all four esc's and the pro comes with 20 amp to boot. The motors are probably fine. So you either fried the flight controller or the power distribution board. Both are inexpensive to replace.

To check the flight controller, disconnect it from the power distribution board . It is probably a jst connector that connects the esc's and battery on the right side of the quad. Should be at least 6 wires, maybe 8 on a ribbon. Then plug the flight controller with the usb connector into Openpilot or cleanflight/baseflight which ever it came with. If it will not connect, it is probably fried. Do not waste your time and effort trying to boot it and reflash the firmware. All quad pilots have extra flight controllers lying around for various reasons. This is where you start your own collection. Reloading the firmware will not help. might have lost a BEC or burned out a chip.

If it does connect, it is probably the power distribution board. A lot of soldering to replace, but not a lot of money. Less than 20 bucks.

later on, you would be better served in buying your own frame and an all in one stack, like the flycolor raptor or something similar. Right now, i would fix the falcon and continue to do so until your flying skills and knowledge greatly improve. Something to keep in mind, when you are starting out and move from indoor micro's to mini's like the falcon your quad will spend more time on the bench than in the air. It is perfectly normal as you work through the learning curve.

And there will be soldering. A lot of soldering. Don't shy away from it, embrace it as a mark of pride. Do not need to spend a lot. buy a cheap pencil soldering iron with as small of a tip as you can find, some flux, some thin electrical solder and do a little reading. My soldering skills are awsome. i even solder my wife's jewelry now when the chains break.

Second tip, buy a cheap heat gun and some heatshrink tubes. Much easier than using tape and more secure.

Thank you for sharing your expertise. I suspect I will have more questions in time. But, for now let me chew on this for awhile.
Sounds like I have plenty of work and research in the near future. I will begin with the naze controller you suggested. You have given me a good head start.
