Hi

I have been looking at the Phantom range and comparing the specs and prices . The latter of which has a huge range !
I was wondering what the most popular phantom is amongst flyers ( lower priced /mid/top spec )?
Are the drones features identical with just the cost added for the photographic capability's?

Thanks

Dave

DJI Phantoms don't really come low priced - nor do any worth having clones/copies.
basically the Phantom is a flying camera - it does not do any tricks and if you try and crash it - well, the camera alone will cost you best part of a $900 to replace.... that is if you decide to buy the Phantom 3 Professional - anything less leaves you wishing you had purchased one!

Your best line of approach is not to look at what quads are on the market - until you have spent some hours on YouTube watching vids of the many and varied reviews and flight test of different type of quadcopters/multiRotor RTF or custom built.
The then decide WHY you want to get involved and WHAT you want to do with any quad of choice.

I have the Phantom P3 - but spend more time building and trying to tune in a couple quads built myself..... with the help and patience of a lot of guys on this forum.

Hi mate if your just starting out and want the cheaper to run Phantom then try and find a Phantom 1 , batteries are just normal 3 cell 2200 mah and they are about £10 a battery not the £180 for the Phantom 3 , they still do there job really well and are cheaper but harder to find
