Hey y'all! I am planning on building my first quad sometime soon, and have put together a parts list that I think could be a very nice quad that has potential to be upgraded later. I was wanting to get some feedback from some of the more experienced flyers. So here is what I was thinking:
Frame:
Motors:
ESCs:
Battery:
Controller:
So those are the main components, and I plan on building a power distribution center to house ESC outputs, voltage alarm output, and a low voltage (5-8v) output for the flight controller, and other boards I might add later.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this!

Frame:
Hobbyking X525 Frame

I think this frame would be a good option, if its ever in stock, because its a nice size, and can be added to later.(secondary top plate or something.)

Motors:
Generic 2725 Brushless Outrunner motors (1600kv)

I wanted a cheap motor with a slightly higher kv than normal.

ESCs:
AfroSlim 20A

These are 30 amp ESCs with wires that limit them to 20amps, so I was planning on soldering the thicker guage wires to these, just to give upgradable room in the future.

Battery:
4k mAh 25C 3S battery.

Seems to be a good combo of capacity, discharge rate and charge rate, so .... yeah.

Controller:
I really want the OpenPilot cc3d controller, but they are backordered..

So I think i'm going to go with the KK2.1 until those are available.

I think its a reasonably priced substitute to get flying while I wait for the other controller.
