I currently have the DJI Phantom 3 standard and I love flying it (I fly it in a city-park area which is relatively open but still has wifi and people on their cellphones, etc.) and the max range I am getting is something like 600-700 m. No complaints about the quality of the images and video though which are acceptable.
My goal is to reach about 1 km which is near impossible but I ordered a set of Alfa antennae which I hope will help with the range.
I was wondering if I were to upgrade would the Bepop 2 by Parrot be a good choice or should I save up for something like the Phantom 3 advanced/professional or maybe even a Mavic since I like the portability?
